IMD LAUNCHES ANOINTED ALLIANCE, SEEKS TO STRENGTHEN FAMILIES
Foundation for Intelligent Media & Design (IMD Interactive) launched a giving campaign to help its ministry combat the negative effects brought on by entertainment and media companies intent on harming young people.
The Anointed Alliance is a giving campaign that is established for people and organizations to financially support the collective efforts of IMD Interactive’s vision to equip 3.3 billion gamers across the globe and provide a safe space for children, parents, and churches to disciple each other.
The kickoff event was attended by 75 Birmingham area business leaders, pastors and families, who are interested in learning how to help deliver the Bible through video games and support future generations that are so easily distracted by harmful media.
IMD Interactive showcased its technologies, some of which included its game of the future, The Anointed: Heart of David, mobile version demo, The Anointed Multi-Player and The Anointed Scholar.
IMD Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Drayton Cosby stated that if companies are providing entertainment, building technology and producing media for their own personal interests and not the interests of the people we love, then more people will continue to suffer.
“We know a lot of parents are concerned about what their kids are watching or playing online, and they just want their children kept safe,” said Cosby. “The truth is without knowing the Word of God, we never are completely safe because we are not prepared to with-stand the full force of the world that is coming against us so let’s take the Bible to where kids are and pull them away from what’s harming them.”
IMD Interactive Board Secretary Micah Salsman spoke to the crowd about why he supported IMD Interactive with his time and resources and said it’s because the team is committed to excellence, has a heart for the underserved gaming community, love for parents, sharing God’s Word correctly and a desire to work with the Church.
“What I see in this team is an organization that is willing to go the extra mile to provide a game that is high quality and IMD is very intentional when they are building games. You can see the positive impact The Anointed already has on the people they serve, they are not interested in releasing a water-downed version of the Bible, said Salsman.”
IMD’s free two-hour demo, David Saves Keliah, is an early release of The Anointed: Heart of David, which follows the life of biblical hero, David, from shepherd to king of Judah.
David Saves Keilah is currently installed on approximately 42,000 personal computers (PC) in over 130 countries and 28 countries where the Bible is banned. David Saves Keilah continues to be added to players PC’s daily and has seen widespread success with a relatively small marketing budget.
